Title: Cant Play Divx ..

Just installed xbmc tonite replacing xbmp and now I cant play any of my divx movies -- mpegs etc work -- worked before in xbmp - codecs r all in place -- tried several divx movies -- dunno wtf -- any ideas??  :uhh:

There are several of us with similar problems.   I for one was able to play certain DivX movies fine with older XBMC releases, but with the new one, it's a no go.   <

Can you explain what happens when you try to play the divx?  Can you provide more details please?

Also, go get Gspot so that you can also provide the details about the divx that you are trying to play.

Ya - what happens for me is -- you go to play the movie and it looks like its gonna start but the screen just sits there black and wont respond - the cd drive is also reading constantly while this is happening (cdrom ruled out as the problem because it has a modified pc drive and it worked fine on xbmp) - heres the info from gspot  - these are 2 of the movies we had trouble with -  :popcorn:

Thought I should add its an old 1.0 xbox  -- cant remember what kernal - but its 1 of if not the first - dash 4920 i think --
