Title: Adjustable Gravity
Post by: Mr Invader on February 05, 2007, 03:48:00 PM
Yes, you read correctly.

Apparently this has been out for several days, but Frankie from Bungie has announced adjustable gravity for Halo3. For humpday, people at bungie tried two different games using 50% gravity, one with rockets only, and one with shotguns and sniper rifles. This apparently gave a whole new strategy and tactics to the game (go figure).

I think it's pretty neat. Though UT has been doing this for a long time, it's nice to see that its coming to another great FPS.

should be cool. i probably won't use it much, i'm pretty traditional when it comes to custom games, but cool none the less. i'm interested to see what other factors will be changeable for multiplayer

I think its scary that this news is any news at all worth Bungie mentioning right now.  They don't have anything more than that?   How about time of day or a weather setting?  If there is anything at all that they could take from the modding community (not talking about cheating modders) is that players like to see a different setting once in a while.  I read this news about gravity settings a few days ago and it has struck a blow on my expectations.  And the HUD is concave now?  I'll stop my rant.  smile.gif

Well gravity is something that's nor normally changed or edited in halo 2 (except in mods  tongue.gif ) so something like adjustable gravity is just a new feature in the game they'll like to introduce. Should be very interesting... but probably horrible for _____ vs. Snipers
