:o How do i increase the size of the subtitles?

On the first version of XBMC the subtitles were fine , now they are small  :blink:

Newer versions of xbmc allow you to select the subtitle font type & height
in setting->screen->subtitles

if you need other subtitle fonts, then download them from www.mplayerhq.hu

i have the latest version of XBMC and in Settings > Screen all i see is

UI Calibration
Screen Calibration
Soften
Zoom
Stretch
Filters

stay off drugs , they are bad for you. ok?  :)

If you dont like xbmc, fine with me, but get lost and find something else todo instead of flaming. XBMP/XBMC is made by ppl in their spare time. You didnt pay for it, you get it for free. So stop bitching

Now about the subtitles.
Looks 2 me that you dont got the latest CVS version
Latest version allows you to select subtitle font type & height

xbmc 2003-12-08
xbmc 2003-12-11

none of the have the option that you are saying.

Frodo, here's is a question for u :

i can't find any font (even on mplayer.hq) that display correctly the charactere "oe".
(like in the french word "coeur", "soeur" etc...).

do u know if i can use a ttf font in XBMC ???(that solve the problem, no ?)
does the new CVS correct this problem ???


subtitles configuration are definetively a hard part in XBMC.

sorry but no, at the moment you cant use a subtitle font in xbmc

did you look for new fonts here ?

i think there's a tool 2 make your own fonts, but have to admit i'm not sure
I'll look if we can make a truetype->xbmc font converter

a truetype->xbmc font converter would be very cool, and will help many people.

(as we are close to xmas) How about a parameters to easily change the size of the subtitles ???

nice work though...i hope i soon can help you a bit (i can do some testing...)

man, an "user friendly" subtitles interface would be so cool ...

Edit : wich font directory is the good one for subtitles ? the "media/fontS" one or the "mplayer/font"one ? is the bold S a part of the answer ???:)

Edit2: some words are missing in my subtitles (long phrase especially)...is it because i mess with all the font directory i've found ??? :blink:

 <_<  xbmc 2003-12-08 is CVS dude, is the latest i could find in xbins.

xbmc 2003-12-11 is IND or something

;)  if there a newer versions than those, i cant find it anywhere , either your crazy or you havent released it yet.
