I went to the Gears of War After Dark Event tonight at GameStop, and it was awesome!! Lots of free swag and never-before seen footage too!

I took pics of what I got:









I got 12 Marketplace cards with the exclusive content, if you want one message me.

thats some sweetass free stuff! but they gave you 12 cards with all the same stuff on it? guess they meant for you to pass it around, yeah I wouldnt mind one either have you seen whats on it yet?

Thats a pretty sweet video. It didnt seem like much of anything new though, which is good cuz I dont want to know too much about the game a ruin it for me.

why are we weird? I already had a pre-order at EB but since bestbuy was giving a Gears of War t-shirt away for pre-orders I just went for the t-shirt... you can't beat a $5 t-shirt... box was just part of the shrink wrapped pack... heck it's still laying on my floor... now my CE I get will be in the shelf with all the other CEs

I don't usually get pre-orders but I got the best buy one just for the T-shirt and free case.

Can't beat a $5 T-shirt (not to mention that $5 goes towards the game I was going to buy anyway) It's also nice having an extra case laying around in-case you get one with one of the crappy spindles that cracks your discs, or if one of your other cases break. I don't know where else you'd get a case that matches the Xbox 360 translucent Green color.

And exactly what kind of marketplace content do those cards give out? I would asume gamerpics or themes... If it's actual game content or gamer picks I'll take a code (if you have any left at this point)... I'm addicted to collecting free gamerpics

from what I understand it's supposed to be gamerpics and a theme... but they aren't available yet... what I figure is they will come on the 12th and people without the cards will have to buy them... just a hunch though

OK I am officially pissed off now...I went to the event...walked in saw a video playing (I did not care to see it because I want the fresh experience when playing)...guy offered me a poster did not want because art is horrible...I asked if they were giving out other things (because i knew they were supposed to) and they said no...god damnit I want my dog tags and picture pack....FFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got on the guest list but to bring a friend they also had to sign up on Gamespot and also ask for invite so i said F%CK it. None of my friends could really give a sh*t. Wasnt tryin to go alone.

Yeah, you're a little late to the table there buddy.  Your best bet at this point is going to be Ebay.  Or better yet just wait until this weekend.  There is supposed to be an assload of downloadable content coming for this game on Sunday.
