Preorder=myth....I will only preorder a game if there is a bonus with the game (full auto faceplate). I Can't believe they hit you with the "we only got 1 left". He asked for your name so he could set up a preorder and get the comission.

lol, no actually it was a girl, and she asked if I had one reserved or pre-ordered, I said no. She went and checked and said we have 1 left, I'll reserve it for you, what's your name.
They reserved it, not preordered it, and I won't be paying a penny more than retail for it. If she wants to get a commission for saving me the trouble of driving around town after work, then so be it, she deserves every penny!

Girl or not. They have more than 1 left. Watch when you go in they will have plenty. Preorder doesn't cost more anyway.

You don't know what the hell you're talkin about.
Why would they lie about it? What benefit is it to them? To 'force' me to reserve? LOL, thats the dumbest thing Ive ever heard. I would've reserved anyways, and the 'one left' was just a passing comment.

Your the idiot. My best friend works at eb. Thats how I know your an idiot. They tell you they have 1 left, get your name, set up a "preorder" with your name, get paid. The whole 1 left thing is so you are like 'damn I better just give them my name and go get it there so I am not out of luck'. Its not really a preorder it just gets them paid. Just like when I called yesterday about it and the guy told me 'it comes out t/m but you better come in and preorder today or else you probably won't be able to get a copy' LOL I have seen it done many times. You could walk into any store and pick up halo 2 on launch day. What makes you think fight night is gonna sell out everywhere. IDIOT
-
hahaha..nice..i took everyones advice...and good thing one of my homies were on the road cause im at work...he picked up a copy for me and himself......good friends are handy..hahahaha... ill see ya'll online...
-
I think what he is saying is that the salesperson may get a bonus for meeting a quota of pre-orders... or makes $2 a preorder they take.

first off this game is awesome however it has become a major problem with my xbox, cuz its either lagging from the internet or from what i think slowing down major in online play just from the processor itself. i dont know why, maybe its mine overheating, but the otehr person had slow down too so im not sure. it really sucks tho cuz of this serious slowdown

You played it? It doesnt say that in your gamercard
You have a silver account also so how can you play online
-
not bad....i like how you can change styles and edit the fighter to your style...dinner then back to career
-
i hate to keep saying this, but chill out everyone, go take out your aggression in the game you are all talking about. then come back and say how it is
-
I just came from walmart, they only have 22 copies left, I should have preordered.
-

although i agree with most of your statement, its not in my hands because both EB games i went to were sold out unlike halo2 which i got launch day with no prob at 9PM.
-
I beleive more and more wil be sold out (for the time being) since the 360 has only had 2 games since launhc DOA / Full Auto, so lots of us are dying to spedn some cash on any decent game, cuz we are bored of COD2 & PDZ
-
It also totally depends on the area you live in.
Certain titles will sell better or worse in certain areas.
I used to work in multiple stores and in the more redneck areas, Basketball titles NEVER sold well, yet you'd go 35 miles into the citry and they couldnt keep them in stock. Certain areas will sell it better or worse.
One person may go into their walmart and find 22 copies for sale, another person may go into a different walmart and find only 2 copies left.
There really isn't nothing wrong with reserving your games, if you know your gonna buy it anyways, if your putting $5 down on it to make sure one is held for you, what is the big deal about flipping out over it?
They arent makin any extra money off of you, all it does is assure they will make the sale and that you'll get the game you want.
They are running a company and wanna keep sales as strong possible.
Some of you people need to chill out.

Is it really THAT much better than the demo? Why? Did it receive any graphical upgrades?
How about the replay system? Does it still suck, or is it good now?
Thanks.

i rented mine at blockbuster today!

The replays have better camera angles now. Did it really need any graphical upgrades?(the backgrounds are lower res but the player models are GORGEOUS!) The game is great and THE KING is great!(anybody who has the BK Achievement will know what i mean!)Or check this pick out
-
o kick ass now i have to play this game
-
yeah i have another account, TKoh and i was having sum serious slow down. like it got really choppy, and i dont htink it was inet lag. just cpu lag. is ne1 else experiencing this? cuz it really sucks
-
this game rocks much better then the demo version.i still think it could have been about 100 times better but i am happy with it for now
-
any idea as to if this will work on uk machines, we dont get a release for a month
-
Its a fun game, better than the demo.
-
It's a really good game but has a ton of bugs. I played through most of career mode and noticed that the announcer's accuracy is not really any better than the demo. There are still clipping issues (first knockdown I scored since purchasing the game had my fist go through my opponent's head).
The advertising is not as bad as some people make it out to be. It actually makes it more realistic...like watching it on TV.
The online mode is somewhat laggy. It is not bad, like Call of Duty, but it is noticeably not as smooth as single player. It doesn't really detract from gameplay, but it is noticeable.
I've played a few online fights and have noticed that some boxers are totally overpowered for the weight classes they are in. The balancing still seems to be pretty far off. Power punching is still the way to go, and Jake LaMotta's flash ko body punch is a little too fast...
That aside, the multiplayer is a lot of fun and VERY competitive. It is probably the most competitive game i have ever played since it is one on one. You cannot rely on teammates but rather your own skills.
I wish the career mode was a little bit better, but it isn't terrible like some are claiming. The training mini-games are pretty annoying though. I wish they would combine some of them rather than force you to focus on one area. It is really hard getting your fighter to LOOK (shape-wise) how you want him to look and still have his stats be competitve; however, with the character creation process, I was able to make my virtual boxer look almost exactly like me! The jawline / chin feature is the only one that is lacking from last year...this year it is not really as customizable in that area and is harder to get it perfect.
Maybe I'll post some comparison pictures once I get my digital camera warrantied...it's pretty unbelievable.

3 bugs is 'tons'? 2 of those aren't bugs anyways, they simply flaws in the game, like in a million other games that experience clipping, or have dry commentary. Bugs are unintended mistakes in the code. The laggy online could be considered a bug I guess...
The ring announcing is much improved over the demo as well, in the demo they constantly called you by the wrong name, were constantly saying the wrong thing. That was a bug. This has all been fixed in the release version. So, while the commentary is kinda lame, it's not buggy.
-
So whenever I knock someone down as Roy Jones Jr. and they say "devastating blow leaves him stunned by Hopkins", that is not an "unintentional flaw in the code"? It happens 2/3 of the time I knock someone down with a body blow.
It's a bug. I could go through and list all of the ones I noticed, but I picked the ones off of the top of my head. If these "flaws" can be fixed by correcting the code, then they are bugs.
When I played this game, it completely felt rushed and unfinished...but I still really like it. I think 60 dollars for a game that feels rushed like this game is a little bit steep, but oh well. For 63 dollars, I would expect this announcer crap to have been fixed before release...
If the career mode was a little more in depth, the game would be perfect. I imagine I will be playing it for quite a while.
-
i have to say that it does seem a bit easy...i played 5 fights and won them all KO's and i was never knocked down...
-
QUOTE(scooby_dooby @ Feb 21 2006, 05:47 PM)

lol, you're such an idiot. Did it ever occur to you there MIGHT actually only be one left?
I just went in EBGAMES, they had ZERO copies of fightnight 360 for sale, every single one was in the back reserved, or pre-ordered. When I asked the guy if they had any left he said "nope, judging your position on the shelf, you got one of the last ones"....
So guess what? You're wrong and I'm right, suck it bitch.
Next time don't be so cocky and realize that sometimes *gasp* people actually do get the final copy in stock.
I went by two EB's on my way home, both sold out. Called a third, also sold out. Not aq math wiz, but I think someone must have gotten the last copy at each.
