GameInformer has posted a Q&A with Kudo Tsunoda, the EA Chicago General manager. They speak about Fight Night Round 3, and even get some PS3 related questions answered. EA seems pretty positive on the actual Xbox360/PS3 hardware, the Live functionality of Xbox especially. One disappointing fact though is that the PS3 release will not really feature anything different from the Xbox360 version even though it is set for release 8-9 months later. Tsunoda talks about all the great new features in FNR3, but if you notice, he never says there are PS3 exclusive features. He also states that due to the small size of the control pad for the PS3, people with small hands will have an easier time controlling the game with the analog sticks. Could the PS3 prototype pad be closer to the final design than everyone thinks?

Tsunoda: We cant really go into too much detail right now. Our focus right now is 360, and Xbox and PS2. This studio is always known for innovation, so you know weve got something up our sleeves for PS3 version when were coming out with that later in the year.
......EA sounds like they favor sony

well to me that doesnt mean that anything technically will be different, maybe just an extra boxer or something, or maybe an extra training mode where you have to throw a boomerang and see how many times you can make it come back in under the time limit

They are still in sonys back pocket. Im sure EA will screw the online part up too somehow(for both).

EA favors the console with the most market share.
wouldnt that be the 360 at this point and even when the games ship??

Well, I'm guessing that at the current rate that 360s are produced they still wouldn't overtake the PS2s market share, but this game isn't being developed for ps2.
EA is thinking that the PS3 will be the winner this gen, like the ps2 last gen and the ps1 the gen before that.
So they promise a little extra with the ps3, just like they did with madden and the dreamcast vs ps2 version.
The dreamcast version came out first because the hardware was out before sonys, but that doesn't mean shyte.
well i meant marketshare in the next gen market.
and EA never released any version of madden on the dreamcast, hell they never supported the DC at all.
