Title: Is Doa4 Region Free?

Hi all

 Just wondering if DOA4 is region free, JP or US release, i have searched around and some say yes, some say no!

Anyone on here actually got a foreign region version booting in thier console?

You have to test if a game is region free if it's a US game and region free it says NTSC

it's supposed to be region free, on www.spielegrotte.de forum there's a dude who said he's playing the US DoA4 game on his german console. my copy should arrive monday so we'll see. if it's not working i'll sell it on ebay  biggrin.gif

it will only work if your 360 is set to Pal-60 mode . mine is on order from canada but i have heard loads of confirmation that it works

I've read in a few locations (check wikipedia) that when a game works on the EU 360 it won't necassarily work on a Jap. Good luck though. My copy is winging its way to me from Liksang as we speak (US version of course Jap has been confirmed as not region free)

Any word from anyone on a US DoA4 working on a Jap 360? I still haven't received my copy, but it's driving me NUTS and I'd hate to wait for a few months for some kind of region mod to come out. sad.gif  

Wish they had some US 360s over here in China...

Also, I would check Wikipedia, but it's banned over here, so I'm pretty much out of luck on getting any reliable information about that stuff ...but what would be the biggest difference between the 3 boxes? I mean, if a US version works on a PAL version, for example, would the game be coded to specifically NOT work with an Asian console?

The US version will not work on an asian console, only European.

And if an encyclopedia site is banned in your country, to be honest, I think you have more things to worry about than playing video games, like where to go after you've defected from that joke of a country.

yeah, I received mine today from the US(DoA4) and it definitely doesn't work on my Jap 360. What a shame...I was really looking forward to it. Ah well. Now to figure out what to do with this one! Hopefully there will be some sort of region mod soon enough?

Does anyone know if Call of Duty will work on a Jap 360?

Also Spark, wikipedia is banned here...we have a communist government, so it doesn't really work like the United States. Some things are banned and some things aren't, depending on what type of information is in it. If the government thinks it's unsuitable and could contribute to social instability, etc. then it will probably be banned. I don't like it, but who can change it?
