Title: Which App Allows 2 Xboxes To Connect For File Swap
Post by: Jynsta on October 18, 2004, 08:02:00 PM
I have two modded xboxes which I'd like to connect directly together via a network cable so I can copy files from one xbox to another. Which app can do this? Thanks!  <

http://xbox-scene.com/articles/xbox-to-xbox-copy.php

just use a ftp client on one xbox and run a dashboard (like XBMC, Evox or Avalange) that supports ftp connections on the other.

In this totorial they use a router, cause these can give you a DHCP address. If you don't have a router set your xbox ips manually

xbox 1
ip: 192.168.0.2
snm: 255.255.255.0
dgw: 192.168.0.1
dns: 192.168.0.1

xbox 2
ip: 192.168.0.3
snm: 255.255.255.0
dgw: 192.168.0.1
dns: 192.168.0.1

the default gateway and dns are not really nessecary, but could proof usefool in the future, if you include your xbox's in a network.

An even easier way would be to just use Avalaunch. Put avalaunch on both XBOXs and just set them to be in xbox to xbox mode. Then just go into the file browser and change it to remote mode and transfer the files. I just think its easier because you dont have to set any ip settings, its right in the menu. Hope that helps  <
