The answer really depends on what gaming type you preffer.

If you like:
* shooters, go rent Gears Of War, Rainbow Six : Vegas or Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2
* racing games, go rent Project Gotham Racing 3 or Burnout Revenge
* kid games, go rent Viva Piñata
* RPGs, go rent The Elder Scrolls IV : Oblivion or Enchanted Arms
* sports, go rent Top Spin 2 or FIFA/Madden
* RTS i say go rent Command & Conquer : Tiberium Wars
* great party games go rent Fuzion Frenzy II or Guitar Hero II
* fighting, go rent Dead Or Alive 4
* action/stealth games, go rent Hitman : Blood Money or Splinter Cell : Double Agent

Ofc there are lot more great games, but theese mentioned above are those games I would call best in each genre (according to my own taste).
