if you buy crackdown you can play the halo 3 beta multiplayer demo starting tueday i think.

No, it's not going to be till mid to late Spring. Yet to be confirmed, but definitely not ready yet.

2 player local:

no local:

This might not be 100% accurate as some of these I've played but some I had to look up.

As far as LAN games go, nothing beats Halo 1 or 2. Halo2 used to be really fun on live before people go too serious about it. I played several times a week at first, but maybe once every month or two now. Far Cry on PC is really quite fun for local or internet play. The thing that makes Halo 2 so fun for me is that is has such a good lobby system, the gametypes are easily modified and created, and the maps are very, very good.

halo is over rated, example...how are the graphics so hot when all its made out of is steel walls and sold things.
