Title: Dead Rising
Post by: Rustmonkey on October 02, 2006, 07:04:00 PM
Well... first off, try the Dead Rising forum...

Second, I have a launch 360 and the only time Dead Rising caused any problems (artifacting) was when I had my 360 setting ontop of a satellite reciever - damn those things get hot!!!  Anyways, moved the 360 and let it cool down a bit and everything was back to normal smile.gif

i dont mean to jump in  but i dont personally think a game has the effect to break a 360 there had to be a problem before ith the system.

I'm going for the 7 day achievement right now. I figure that being offline will let me do it. I have only a few minutes left, and have been playing it for the last 16 hours. So far no freezing. When I play this game connected to Live, it freezes every 30 minutes.

I highly doubt any game has caused any console to break, chances are it's just a coincedence that it stopped working shortly after you got the game...

I have a launch day console and DR has never given me any problems.

...oh and Legendary Badass, in 7 day mode does the food respawn every loading screen?

Twisted...no the food does not respawn...you have to go hunting for survivors...

All in all the Survival mode is easy...just time consuming. Kill a survivor gather all food in that area...move to a safe spot pile up food...eat when needed...when supply is down to 2 health items go hunting again...rinse repeat and get the bad ass sword.

damn that sucks... Do the weapons respawn at least... by bad-ass sword I assume you mean the kitana on top of the coffee shop awning in paradise plaza. I'm notorious for grabing it leaving, re-entering and grabing another until I have about 5 of them then just go wild on the bosses happy.gif

Hate to do it but I've gotta disagree with you guys  tongue.gif. I've got a December console and recieved Dead Rising as a birthday gift and it would'nt load past the scene where you first get on the mall roof and talk to carlito, it would forever load. In the end I had to reformat my hdd and lose my saves (including Oblivion  sad.gif) so I personally would consider that a problem. It seems by looking on the xbox forums that the issue is completely random in 360's and I'm glad most of you guys haven't had it  wink.gif. Either way works perfect now and is an awesome game.
