Today I got curious about the game sizes of the xbox 360 and well they all seem to start out pretty big around 6 gb or so. So I did a little check of game sizes on the original xbox and it's increase over time. I mainly checked for titles that realease new version of there games like sports games like nhl2k7 or fight night (I also checked regular games and the increase is in there too but is harder to check since you would have to compare 300-400 titles or so) . And most,not all, have some pretty big increases in game size, fight night 1 is 1gb no2 is 1.5gb and nr 3 is 2-2.5 gb depending on region. If we are gonna see the same increases in xbox 360 games we probably soon will see the psx formula with muliple dvds or atleast two sided dvds. Anyone else have any thoughts on this? Will we see multiple dvd games?

There are also examples of Xbox 1 games where the sequel was smaller then the original.
I think we might see games on more then one disc towards the end of the console's life... but I only see that happening with very specific genres, like JRPGs where they love to throw in lots of FMV.

It's not such a big deal. I like the way it was done with Resident Evil 2 on Playstation. They made it basically two seperate stories, one disc was the girls and the other was for the guy. I wound up giving one disc to a friend and he played one while I played the other then we switched. It's not like you have to get up every 10 mins. and flip it.

I agree It was the same with alot of games for the psx could be up to 4 discs and as soul-assassin says it gives you the ability to borrow the first dvd. But on another hand didn't MS say that that would never happen, or is that just the normal defence thing MS always do and then whoops guess we do/does. Like with the 1080p thing.
