Lots of people grow attached to the pads they use and prefer to just use an adapter when they change consoles... I almost guarantee that most PS2 to PC and PS2 to Xbox adapter sales are for people who want to convert their dance pads.
i have personally noticed a bit of delay on the input when using the ps2 to xbox adapters. but still, i agree that they should loosen up their restrictions as i doubt there will be a licensed pad that doesn't suck. i wouldn't be surprised if the only pad available was the soft pad it comes with that will probably break within a week
on a sidenote... wireless ddr pads! that would be amazing

I was actually rather satisfied with my softpad that came bundled with my DDR for PS2. I also consider myself a serious player (can do 90% of the songs on Heavy.) As far as quality goes, i've found with softpads, just don't fold them. Always just store them flat and they work for a long time. I really hope the pad that comes with the 360 version is wireless and functions well though. And thanks for the help tonloc, never thought to search EB.
No problem, i use them for all my dates. They are usualy spot on. Just remember that the date they show is a ship date. We can get our hands on the games the next day.
