Title: Just Cause Or Saints Row? Which Game Is Better?

im gona get saints row today, we really have no idea when just cause is going to come out. (at least i dont haha) i have no idea how all of just cause is going to play but ive heard some of the missions are going to be pretty cool, and i love the planes. i think just cause will be a renter though, i really like the way saints row controls

So far I like saints row better. Just cause feels to arcadish for me, plus I dont think it has multiplayer.

just cause is at least month away. that's plenty of time to get saints row, beat it, and then go for just cause.

saints row is so much better than just cause, justcase is like far cry but you can steal cars.

saints row is the cloeset game to GTA yet!

SR does feel condensed.

I'm checking gamerankings.com right now,
Saints Row's averaging a rating of 87%.

i havent checked the just cause demo but have played a lil of Saint's Row and i have mixed feelings ... the gameplay is like good ol GTA ( no shiat ) what bothers me a lot is that there is visible drop in frame rate and it feels like that screen is shuttering from time to time

they have added many mini games which might add to the intrest but yeah its a "good" attempt at making money on old idea i do like the graphics but just too often it reminds me of playing GTA:SA but than i remember hey i cant get bikes or planes in this

People may like SR and it may get good ratings but in my book ... i played Tabble Tennis much more than SR and i have had both the games for same amount of time ... infact picked them up both at the same time

ive been playing saints row all day! its been fun so far. only problem so far is the screen tearing in cut sceens (arghhh!) in game seems fine though, the whole city is open form the get go but there just doesnt to be much varity.  i felt sad when i got to the air port and there arent any planes to fly, no boats to drive, no motorcycles. and the city isnt that big either. still good for some fun and im enjoying it. the ragdoll physics alone has been worth it =)  if any one has questions about the game just lemmie know...

BTW i rented it at blockbuster on my game pass

I, for one, have decided not to buy this game.  I'm simply not willing to pay $60 for an unrefined product.  Don't sweep trash out the door until it works properly.

UNLESS!!, it's cheap.  $60 to me is the going rate for a quality, complete title.  Even the video review on Gametrailers.com makes note of the blatant errors.

yeah ive had the highway dissapear under me multiple times. well im still getting some enojoyment out of the game, rent it crezib, keep it for 2 weeks from blockbuster your only out 7$ and youll have the game beat =)  this is why i speak so highly of the game pass, when im done i send it back, games that are worthy of my 60$ will get it.

Just Cause is taking my friend list by storm... and it's just a demo. When it comes out IGN and Gamespot will give it at least a 9.0.

nice sum up! i think both games are worth some fun. i dont either of them are going to be masterpieces. i think twisted posted on how messed up game reviews are, these game will probably deserve 6-7/10. but that doesnt mean its a bad game. a bad game should be a 1-4.

That fast boat.
Missions are quite fun - like the last car one.
Doesn't take itself too seriously.
Faster and better driving aspect of the game.
Id say they are both differently 'bad', not really good, certainly not to the tune of £50. Rent both, don't waste your money trying to decide which is 'better'.

Never yet had any frame issues.
Cars have not disappeared in front of me.
The missions are darn cool.
And the online multiplayer rocks.

what resolution are running saints row in amb? im running 720p and its painfully obvious on the cut scenes. horrible image tearing. game frame rate seems ok and thats what matter to me.

have you tried the insurance fraud games yet, they are great!

@720p there is certainly parts where the framerate drops, and lots of tearing. Cars have dissapeared in front of me once or twice, more often if I turn away and turn back. All in all these little things don't bother me too much, and I am having a blast so far in Saints Row.

I noticed that SR has the usual vsync problem.  Anybody else notice?  Granted it isn't as easy to tell with the fast swinging camera, but its there.

yeah, it's the worst I have seen on 360. practically the whole screen tears. *sigh* still fun though.

depsite it's massive technical problems (cars DO dissapeer), it's still worth a play.

I run at 1080i. There is some tearing but no frame drops that I can tell. I'm only 5% through so far.

well just cause from what I can tell is linear. There probalbly would not be much replay value that I can tell in Just Cuase. It's good for a rent but I don't kinow about keeping it long term. Whereas, saints row is online and single player.

The level design may be sandbox but the mission layout is very much linear. I hate it when I can't just wander around and do what I want.

I'd rent both, I definately wouldn't buy either.  If any though, i'd get Saint's Row for online multiplayer and replay value.  I'll save my $60 for GTA:IV.  And the Just Cause guy has to have a dildo up his ass.  No questions asked.

judging by your gamer card you havent played the full saints row, how could you recommend the mutliplayer in it, it's terrible!

i want to like it, =(  the first few games i played were slide shows they were so laggy, hopefully it gets fixed. just left a sour taste, im having a blast with single player though

I was doing something I don't usually do and going with what everyone else was saying.  I've overall heard a lot of good about the multiplayer of SR.  But if it lags that bad, yeah screw that.  I do think from playing each demo though that SR would have more of a pick up and play value to it like GTA's have.  I am basing this opinion entirely on the demos, JC just seems kind of boring, even if it we're to let you do something other than track someone down and kill them.  Sexy enviroment, but just doesn't seem fun.  I got tired of the incredibly fake stunts real quickly.  SR though overall a small map (once again from what I hear) would still be funner to me, because I could just pick it up for 20 minutes or so and go slay some people down and be done.

Multiplayer si awesome and I have NEVER experienced any lag yet, maybe you need to check your internet connection

haha, i have a 10 mbps connection...and it works fine. so do the other 9 computers and 3 xboxs hooked into it. =)

Ive gotten some lag on a few matches REALLY bad, like prey bad. Anyways, its probably one individuals specific connection, cause once they bounce, it's not laggy anymore....

I beat the story part of this game. It was a decent haul. Looks like Saints Row will end up with more playability in the end.
