Title: Xbl Arcade Pathetic? Why Does It Take So Long To Add Oldazz Games?

what's the hold up? the arcade never gets games!! not to mention they are oldazz games alrdy produced back in the 80's 90's!!

Wish they would get 2-3 new ones each week; old, new, irrelevant, doesn't matter, just gives us something. With the pathetic offering of regular games each month, you think they would be piling on the games in arcade. I haven't felt this apathetic about gaming since....really never I guess.

well if no one is making game for the arcade then they dont have any games to put on the arcade...

yeah there were a couple of them announced a while back but we have no idea if they're delays from MS or from Capcom or what...

Judging from Capcom's track record I'd say they're mostly dealys from them... I never understood how a re-release of a 20 year old game could get delayed.

MS is pushing for XBLA development. they have 2 or 3 competitions and free development software going around to try to stir up the indy crowd...

if you guys had by chance watched the IGN preview in the "This week in IGN" movie... you would notice that the reviewers said there was some slight lag even playing a local LAN game of SF III and over the internet it was worse.  notice how neither of them was doing anything but jumping around and kicking ? only 1 fireball was thrown that entire preview


there is going to be some serious netowrk tweaking that is needed to make the game run with enough speed and no lag its going to take a while..

i never did play any of the other Capcom online fighting games so i dont know how well they played but for a LAN game like this to lag... yeah there is something VERY wrong.

Well to the best of my knowledge all the Arcade games were upconverted to HD graphics so that might be whats taking so long. Also they were made to run stand alone in an arcade machine not a tri core 3.2ghz processor, so they might be pulling resources from weird places, which would have to be fixed.

Also, LESTAT SFIII is not announced for XBLA.  A fireball isn't much different from any shot in a fps game I wouldn't imagine and there is only one host and one contestant in a SF match eh?  Can't be that hard.  Can't imagine figuring for HD can be that hard either as well as getting to run on the 360.  They gotta have kits.  I think its pure laziness atm and poor strategy for MS.  It's bad enough with the game drought but no fun xbla games for us to spread the word about...  tisk tisk MS.  Give us some release dates for crying out loud at least.
