Title: Game Replacements
Post by: esc1 on April 22, 2006, 10:14:00 PM
I got ripped on ebay.  I got PGR and it is unplayable due to scuffing and scratching.  The dude sold the game as new.  Would MS replace the game?

Technically I know it should be my loss since it isn't MS fault so spare me any flames.   tongue.gif

I'm just asking...

More than likely not.  MS isn't in the habit of simply replacing a scratched disc.  Some have been lucky enough to convince MS that the 360 'gouged' a scratch in a game, but I don't think it's guaranteed.  I would report the individual to ebay and ask for your money back.

work it through ebay first, but MS would probably replace it if you are persistant enough

but saying something is new when it clearly isnt is grounds for suspension on ebay, so if you feel like getting even id go that way

please dont discuss ways on perfoming illegal actions, dont want to see any of you guys getting in trouble

as far as the ebay thing, you have to have a recorded dialouge with the seller and if he refuses to reimburse or replace your item, take it to ebay(report the seller) and they will investigate.

That would require the last renter to buy the game.  I wouldn't want to do that.

I may see what Walmart would say.   laugh.gif
