I'm finding that alot of these developers are skimping when it comes to Next Generation. Titles are being rushed out and content is being left out. EA is well known for doing this as Madden was only 3.3gbs.
I have been finding that the bigger the game on the disk (In GB), the better the game and the more content. Is there somewhere i can see the size of 360 titles in gb as they are released?
Not true.

At least if a game is big in size, i'll know it will have alot of content and at least is worth a purchase.
Um, or it could mean they skimped out on compression and optimization... Ever thought of that?
P.S.-If you don't know size of the games how are you making this assumption anyway?

Agreed. There is ZERO correlation between the volume on a disc and the quality of the content. And you're loopy if you think otherwise.

Although i agree with the rest of the forum on the whole bigger dosent have to better, you can check out how big the ISO's that have been released are.
That should give you an idea of how much data you are purchasing.
Thanx much! Yes i am a freak. I am old as hell and picky when it comes to which games i like and such.
By the way...not to sound like a troll, but i totally hate Geometry Wars and any game like it.

dumbest crap i've ever read, there some people that can play madden forever , there called sports fans. So it dosn't matter if its a "huge" game, as long as you buy/play it because u like it

Wow, a bigger game is better because it's um bigger. I remember "D" on the saturn, it was on 2 disks. all basically myst style gameplay and about 2hrs worth of playtime. 1.2gigs of space for 2hrs of play time. GTA3 on xbox was less than a gig and had ohh I don't know about 50-80hrs of gameplay. Hell i would spend hours in that game without completing a single mission just cause it was fun hitting jumps and slapping around prostitutes after doing the humpty dance in a back alley. EA yeah they screwed everyone, 3.3 gigs for madden06, they had 5gigs to figure out how to get all of the options in 05 into the game like all that managerial crap but needed to get it out for launch. You also have to take into account the amt of FMV in a game, in my opinion it is wasted space, at least now with the power of the 360. Glad to see SC4 will use ingame engine for all the cutscenes. leave more room for the actual game.
just my 2cents

wow, i have never read that rule before.
My utmost appologies to the moderators.
As you can tell this isnt a piracy related topic, and i thought that in this case that site would be used as reference only. Obviously if i had of paid more attention and read that rule i wouldnt have posted.
I must admit, i have never read the rules since i signed up and that was years ago!
I plead ignorance?

your basis for a good game is completely illogical and untrue, so naturally people are going to pic it apart...

Morrowind, one of the longest games on the xbox, and the one that had quite possibly the most content, was also barely a gig (i forget the exact size but it isn't much). A large size does not equal a long or good game, case closed

the only reason we picked apart your point, is because we wanted to correct your incorrect assumption.
Bigger File Size != (or <> is you use VB) more content.
Your opinion that more content makes a better game is your opinion. The fact that file size does not necessarily dictate amount of content, is a fact.

im not going to flame or call anyone any names, but ask yourself this. a game could have an hours worth of FMV and 15 of gameplay and fill a DVD, does that equal a great game to you? space management is so varied that you can not judge a game by how much space it fills.
doesnt oblivion only fill around 5 or 6gbs anyways? and that game promises to be larger then any previous game in the series. though some will be quick to flame and i hope you learn to do some research before asking questions.
