Title: Stupid Achievments....

I've noticed in a few games (king kong, perfect dark, pgr 3) the achievment messages don't show up, so i dont know what needs to be done to get certain things....is this fixable?

Works fine for me, on all those games. Btw this should go in the game section.

What do you mean by "they don't show up" there are several things you could be talking about... could you be more specific?

while your in a game hit the guide button, click on your gamercard go to games, select the game your playing and it will list all the achievments, select each achievment to display what you need to do to get it

That's what I thought you might be talking about...

some games are more vague then others, it's up to what the developers wanted to put there... DOA4 says "play the game some more" for most of them  dry.gif

Some games I found don't have anything there at all.

PGR3 is one of the more descriptive titles so if you don't see any text there something might be wrong.

the text is NOT stored local as far as I know, it has to hit live servers to get it. Maybe you have a connection issue?

twistedsymphony is correct.... The actual description of what to do to get the achievements is missing. I don't have Live, but COD2 worked for me. I just wish I knew what to do in King Kong to unlock the achievments, Perfect Dark is easier because the achievment titles give away what needs to be done (ie: Play 100 deathmatch game). Maybe it's not a glitch, perhaps some just dont have descriptions, can anyone verify KING KONGS lack of decriptions??

If you just progress through the game you will get all 1000 by the time you beat it.

thats my understanding in king kong, just beat it and you get all 1000

and if you really want to know some more vague ones www.gamefaqs.com has them all spelled out and exactly what to do. sometimes its fun to just find out when you get it, but if you really want to get them, just look them up there

I saw this post and I though o Stupid acheivements o well they will be talking about the acheivements on games where its so easy to get gamerscore such as (Get A First Down on Madden 06) but this just shows how brain dead some people are I mean why dont you try clicking on the acheivements list you have by using the 360 centre button you god dam noob

DCOtter you have no idea who you are calling a n00b, first of all run a spell check over you dumb ass post next time....and dont call people n00bs when you didn't even read the posts.
