Title: Game Developers Missed Out
Post by: C o s m o on December 09, 2005, 11:28:00 AM
I don't know about all the issues involved in making games out of movies, but I recently screened Aeon Flux. I loved the cartoon on MTV with all its wierdness and crazy imagery.
It seems to me that this could have been the first killer app for the 360, had a dev. team got on the ball. Movie/game studios are usually really good about cross promotion.
Aeon Flux could be a GREAT 3rd person shooter/action game. Game developers could have had all sorts of freedom to include out-of-this-world physics, fighting, role-play, shoot-em-up, sneak and creep, and insane graphics given the 360's gobs of power.
This was the first thing I said after watching the movie, and I still think it could've been a great game.

I've heard it's not that good.... neither was the movie from what I've heard.
I do love the old animated version though.

I haven't even looked at Xbox games since I got my 360-I should. I really liked the movie overall, but I'm a dork. And, I guess since the game sucks then they did miss out on a great opportunity.

I've heard the same thing, too. However, there's only one reason I'm going to see that movie:
