Title: What Game(s) Are You Gonna Get?

I don't think we've had one of these up lately, so lets get going.
I'm not 100% on which game I'm gonna be getting when I get my Xbox 360. What game(s) are you guys gonna be getting at launch and why? Also, are you guys gonna be getting Xbox Live if you don't have it now?

Note: Gears of War is not a launch title.

Scenario #3:

Scenario #4:
CoD 2
DOA 4
Condemned

Scenario #5:
CoD 2
DOA 4
Oblivion

Scenario #6:
CoD 2
DOA 4

Condemned

Obviously Call of Duty 2 is the only Definite, and Im more than happy with that after playing it at the Kiosk yesterday.

I would love for the other 3 to make it but if they don't, I'll be playing CoD 2 until my thumbs are bleeding.

Cousin will be here for launch party with PGR 3 and Quake 4, and Kage will be here with probably the same ones Im getting, So we will have 6 different games to try.

Why am I chosing those over PD Zero, PGR 3 and Quake 4? Well I have other ways to get some games, and my cousin already prepurchased PGR 3 and Quake 4, so we can see those too. DOA 4, obvious beaver shot reasons

Call Of Duty 2, I played the first one Xbox and to be honest was not impressed, bu this one looks like the bomb
Xbox live, hell ya, why even buy the XBOX360 without live it's like buying a car with no Stereo, can't drive with no music, can't game with no online

Is it Nov 22 yet?

Hey Deftech, u sure Oblivion is still headed for launch day (at least the US one)?

Last time i heard from tehm they were aiming for December 10 to release the game.



I was probably gona go for Oblivion and Ghost Recon, but considering the circumstances, ill go for PD0 (which has coop so its great) and maybe PGR3, considering my finances (i wana buy a VGA cable as well so thats -30 euros out of my budget).

I'll be getting one game on release day;

Perfect dark.

Later I will be getting oblivion when it is released.

I can affort 5 games or so on release but I haven't played any of them. As soon as I have a x360 I will be able to play this x360 demo disc I will get with the OXM to play games that I might like.

PD0, for online multiplayer

DOA4, offline multiplayer (get few mates around)

PGR3, mainly i like racing games.


i am attempted to get Oblivion, but i never liked RPGs, cos they takes toooo much time.

For sure:
Perfect Dark Zero: LIVE and looks pretty sweet
PGR3: I love racing games and this doesnt look to dissapoint

Maybe:
Madden 06: I am a diehard pro football fan but I have never liked the madden series, I will see how espn 2k5 looks in 1080i and might hold off for another year so i can buy the component video input selector instead

Every game except for Tony Hawk's Whatever and most (if not all) of the sports games.

So:

Kameo, Gears of War, PD0, Halo 3 (didn't you hear, EBGames has it on their site?  ), DoA4, Quake 4, Gears of War, CoD2, Condemned, Prey, Gears of War, ES4: Oblivion, Saints Row, Gears of War, Full Auto, PGR3, Gears of War, NFS HP2, Gears of War, some more that I can't remember, and Gears of War.

I'll probably end up spending about $1000 on video games by the end of the year.  

And yes, I know that some of the above are not launch titles. Until an official final list is available, that's what I'm going with.

Edit: Forgot Kameo and Gears of War. **slaps forehead with tire iron**

The core console system and Perfect Dark Zero only. Make Quake 4 or Castle Wolfenstein later on, but I'm sure PDZ will keep me entertained for a while. The original PD still does to this very day.

launch = CoD2,  Quake 4, PD0

soon after, hopefully Oblivion
 
next year for sure, PREY PREY PREY!!!!!!! and Gears of War

both are off the chain IMO, but Prey has really gotten my attention. I'm really surprised more people don't mention it. It's so freaking styly. I wanna know what the guys at Human Head Studios are smoking?? (probably DMT)

I know some of you have peeped this title (Deftech etc) This game makes Halo look like lincoln logs. It's so trippy. Take MC Escher, give him a ten strip, add a little Quake and Halo to the equation , add a tad bit of Soul Reaver, and that starts to describe what is Prey.   Prey Official Movie for Xbox 360



I can't wait for the second round of games for the 360!!!!

I have PDZ/ Quake/ Oblivion/ Madden all reserved.  Hopefully a few of them make launch.  I'm thinking of getting Call of Duty 2. I loved the original on the computer and after seeing it at EBgames it looks great. I don't know what people are talking about when they say the graphicas don't look that good.  

Oh I almost forgot, Kameo, don't laugh it may seem cartoony but it looked great when I say it in action at Ebgames.  

I think  that there are a lot of great games to pick from at launch

come on nov 22nd already!
