The depth and detail on every character doesn't look special in one frame, but it looks amazingly smooth in motion.

yeah when i saw the first vids from E3 i thought it was some kind of joke but it was just obvious that the game was really really early. the latest vid shows a lot of potential and upgrades to the graphics that werent there in the first vids.

Yeah it is. Looks like it might have some RPG elements too (the menu looks reminiscent of that in an rpg title, along with the message/quote boxes).

Yeah exactly... I wasn't comparing the gameplay of GTA but the setting and scope of the environment...
True Crimes might be a better comparison but not as many people are familiar with that.

That game had decent graphics, but the game sucked. I mean, the story was decent for a while with the fighting etc, bad cop good cop, but then all of a sudden I'm fighting some evil magical fiery dragon!

I liked it, looking forward to the sequel... True Crime: New York City. Though considering it's a current gen title getting released around the same time as the 360 I doubt it will get much play
You're right the end with the dragon was kind of lame but the rest of the game was really cool. The graphics totally BLEW though, the cars were probably some of the worst this gen... but it's not like I was expecting much because of the size and scope of the city the game took place in.

Yeah, this one looks like it has some solid fps gameplay, not that limpy GTA stuff.
Man, I don't wanna start with what's wrong with GTA. Nothing about it plays better than in other games, except for the driving in San Andreas which was fun, but That's It!
