There are subtle hints that give away that it's a render. The glass/plastic always looks too perfect for one thing. And matter both absorbs and reflects light... something CG has yet to perfect. But I'm not knocking the pics. They are amazing as amazing gets!

Im gonna get flamed for this one bigtime, but I dont see why the real game wont look that good.
Then hook it up to your pc monitor and play Xbox360 where you are sitting right now. Do that until you can buy a hdtv.
Deftech is right. If Bizarre can make PGR3 look that awesome... why can't this game be that much better. The only thing I can see detracting from the performance would be draw distance. Either way, I bet the game looks awesome in realtime.

Well there's an article about it on Gamespot and they're saying it's in real time.

Taito is also putting effort into the cockpit view of World Airforce, and it's reproducing the authentic looks from real aircraft, including HUDs and various meters.
that alone brings a sigh of relief to me. cant wait to dogfight online. the article talks about this game as a "series" but i dont remember any game similar in name before or even what system it was on. hopefully this will come to the US and with all the bells and whistles the 360 can offer.
and deftech i pretty much agree with you on the why cant it be done deal. other then the draw distance the only real challenge would be the landscape but seeing as how your hardly close to the ground i dont think it would pose that much of a challenge to the dev team.
lol love your predictions man. i got my wood from the screens, i just need the game now
it looks very nice i agree, but taito have never made a good flightsim so i wouldnt hold your breath for anything other than eyecandy, infact what have taito ever made other than space invaders and puzzle bobble!
if namco were to bring Ace Combat to the 360, then we would have something special
