This is how PGR3's artwork looks right now. On actual 360 hardware. Please bear in mind, however, that you're still looking at a work in progress video game, and that the final in-game effects and lighting aren't even in place yet. We're still a long way from the finish line, but things will only improve from this point on. Start preparing now, and save your pennies for a widescreen HDTV and surround sound system. Although the game will still look stellar on a regular TV, you'll get the best experience when you go High Def.

i cant wait till they get the final hardware and put the final touches on the game.  im sure it will be beyond words.  ive read a lot from dev teams saying they are saving the best affects for last, sounds like a good indication to how easily the 360 can be used

It makes my mind cave in to think that those building renders are *just* the environments that whip by at 170mph+.  I'm speechlessly impressed.  And to make matters worse, I have to constantly remind myself that these are from a FIRST GENERATION game too!

My only question is this: Will those buildings (and everything else we've seen) remain at that high level of quality when the game is running at full tilt?

I've seen impressive shots of games in development that had to be toned down considerably so the game would run at 60fps, but I think the 360 can handle this level of detail.  Anyone know otherwise?
