hey can u use any usb wireless adapter for the 360 or just the microsoft one?

MS-only. it uses an extra security chip, without it, the hardware won't be recognized.

a cheap alternative is the zyxel p-330w, set it up in bridge mode and connect wirelessly to your router.I have bought them off ebay for $10
