Title: Connecting 360 With A Ad-hoc Wireless Network?
Post by: welly_59 on January 03, 2008, 12:12:00 PM
ius it possible to connect my 360 to a ad-hoc wireless network?

i dont have a wireless router, and dont really have the need for it excpet for my 360. what i was thinking was using a usb wifi dongle on the pc as as access point to connect the 360(with a suitable wireless adaptor) to. i was thinking i could setup the usb donbgle with a static ip, and share the wired internet connection over it. would this work?

there's no reason why it shouldn't work, but seriously, get a wifi router.
it'll enable you to use xbox LIVE without having to have your pc switched
on all of the time.

much more convenient imo.
