Its hard to understand your problem from what you have wrote.
Is it a Jtag or RGH?
So you applied a disc update to your console?
What happens when you turn the console on?
-with power button:
-with dvd eject:
Is R6t3 resistor removed or disabled if its a jtag?
Or maybe ive missunderstood and you have not done anything, just newer games are asking you to update?
If so just use a program like this

to dump your nand, then get your cpu key from xell, build a new jtag image for dash 16203 and flash it with the same program you dumped the nand with.

Well by the sounds of it you've updated your jtag and its trying to complete the update, but the efuses must be protected as its not completing and if they werent xell wouldnt boot.
So you will need to build a new image and flash it back, a hardware flasher will be needed if you dont have any nand backups.
