What exactly is this DVD you're using? I was wondering if this, somehow, allow a " downgrade" or if it'll fail after the HD DVD is connected.

I downloaded the latest update from Microsoft, the 16203 update. Extracted to my desktop.
Downloaded the 4532 update, extracted to desktop. It overwrites one file in the $SystemUpdate Folder (su20076000_00000000).
The 4532 update also extracts a default.xex to the desktop.
I burned the $SystemUpdate folder and the default.xex to the DVD-R disc, inserted it, and got my youtube video...
I am running a Flashed Samsung.
To be clear, I will be investigating this further... Maybe a downgrade, maybe not. Got nothing better to do. =D

Good one...Since this is so "eazy", I'm just wondering if it was attempted in the past with older dash updates...
Furthermore, as I said, will it be possible a "downgrade" with this "method"? I know the HD DVD was somehow hushed and a failed attempt to win over the BluRay and for this reason, it may have been left with some "open holes", if you know what I mean...

I'm pretty sure you can downgrade doing this, I just need to get a HD DVD Player to confirm...

you cant downgrade with this, theres the little thing called CPU fusesets and LDV values that stop revoked kernal versions from running. i take it you have never done any JTAGGING or RGH mods? know nothing about LDV values?
hence why we cant JTAG after dash kernal 7371 and hence why the experts developed the RGH hack.
if your stupid enough to attempt this, you will find that your console will error out with E80 or similar and you may even fuck up your console, which will need an RGH install to fix.
play your games if you have nothing to do instead of wasting your time investigating things you have clearly no knowledge on whatsoever.

Learn some damm manners would ya? More and more I see this "Scene" filled with rude post such as yours. Is it that you have a need to feel smart or important that drives you to be so damm rude and put down others? The OP is just curious and is learning about things, the scene wouldnt be alive if not for people like that. I dont care if your all knowing or not, if you cant say something in a decent manner then dont say it at all. The only thing your post aims to do is put down the OP and cease all attempts at learning. Simply stating the information and giving a warning about trying this would have worked.
