Thats it huh? wow simple. No. It's arbitrary. If someone fucks up the die or the package ....lol. or removes the ball by accident...they are going to have to take off the cpu. ANd most people don't have a reball machine to put it back on. or a cooridinate track to put the motherboard on.

this is like luck for some if they get it right. Im not doing this. Crazy. I like my brand new slim to be not broken. I'll wait.

The most interesting part is WHERE would I drill? I can't tell from picture. I need a measurement or reference point.

Looks like a ok idea to me. I think it could be done without grinding the chip. I could thin the pin out on a grinding wheel first so it fits under the chip really easy.
Its not hard to see what ball you are putting it on either, the pictures were just taken a bad angle for viewing that.
