Title: Is Posting Acl Updates Ok?
Post by: Mordenkainen on December 20, 2003, 03:16:00 PM
Can I post ACL updates for games that need file renames or patches. I know it's bad to post the patches (Copyrighted Code). But what about an entry for the DVD2XBox ACL file.

What do you mean with "Copyrighted Code" ? I would appreciate postings with new entries for the dvd2xbox.acl file.

Posting patches is generally fine here, but posting the actual files is not.  To expound, it would be fine to post enterthematrix.ppf (or enterthematrix.acl) but not the game's default.xbe.

Post away,  :)

Thanks Xeero!

WiSo, I just meant that most of the patches currently have copyrighted code in them (I.E. a patched default.xbe of the game.). I knew these were not allowed but wasn't sure if an ACL  that does the patching for you was allowed.
