Title: Unable To Update Freeboot 9199 For Avatars

I am trying to get avatars back on my 360.

I've DLed the 9199 SystemUpdate from M$. Threw it on a USB stick. The 360 boots past the splash and locks up on the update screen. grr.gif

So... I was seeing if there was another way to get this update on my HDD.
Maybe someone could send me a .rar of the proper files and I can just transfer them onto my 360.

I also do not have a DVD drive...

Are you sure the file isn't corrupted? It's possible that it might not have copied over correctly and that's causing the lockup.

Figured it out... turn 360 on, insert flash drive, power cycle.
I was trying to plug in on a cold boot.
