The finger crossing method is the only one i know. To test the KV you need to inject it and try to connect to live.
When i sell KV's to people they typically come from systems that have not been previously modified so i can be almost 100% sure thay are good.
Thanks for the response, I figured so. I do the same thing, all systems I mod have never been touched/played with before, so all my KVs are 100% good. I was just curious though.

True you have to inject the KV into a NAND file to check it with nandhealer , i sort of implied that but didn't say it. However once you sign the KV with the CPU key for that NAND dump it becomes the KV for that NAND so it will tell you if you just patch it in to a dump also.
