Post by: aocraft on February 17, 2003, 10:56:00 PM
Does anybody know how to make trainers for xbox games.
Just looking for any tutorials or guides that can point me in the right direction
I found some trainers here dextrose.com but I would like to be able to make them my self.

Trainers take a lot of expirience in hex editing and have no definitive guide. Each game is differently structured. From the looks of it, not to flame, but your in way over your head.

Back in the old days of snes I used to have a ufo like device (It is called something else but similar. I will have to check at home as I have both a UFO and another type) http://www.robwebb.clara.co.uk/backup/ufo/...fosuperufo.html that sat on top of my snes which would allow me play the game in a "game cheat mode".
It would alow you to create your own type of action replay codes. You would boot up the game and play until you lost a life. Then you pressed certian buttons and it would take you to a menu with a list of codes. Then you continue to play the game and when you loose another life you go back to the menu again and the list of codes would be reduced. You continue to do this until you have a single code. Then usually by playing around with last digits you could put your lives to 99. Once you have the code you can boot up with the codes and have all the cheats you want.
Any of you smart home brew developers think you could make something like this for the xbox.... :uhh:
