Title: Backup Matrix Dvd To Xbox
Post by: nailgun on January 28, 2003, 10:02:00 PM
Just a thought. You can't read the Matrix DVD frpm a PC DVD drive (all you see is AUTOPLAY.EXE). To do a proper DVD rip you need to extract the "VIDEO TS" directory from the DVD. I can see the full directory using Boxplorer.....but can't figure out how to copy it to a local directory from the DVD . Is there a better way to transfer to a local or maybe even a remote host right odd the XBOX DVDRom? Somebody care to give this one a try. It could become an excellent way to read these troublesome DVD's.

Nailgun ;)

If your pc dvdrom can't read the matrix, it's incredibly old and incredibly crappy. And probably correctable via firmware.

As for ftp'n files off a dvd, you will still need to decrypt them, as they will be using encryption and the vob's will not be playable directly copied.
