Title: Media Menu X Question
Post by: b0ink on January 08, 2003, 03:44:00 PM
Hey Now.... quick question.  Do you have to do anything special to make MXM compatible with the IGR function.  I am currently using the IGR that is part of the executer BIOS.  The games reset, however, my XBox never reboots when reseting from a game on a MXM DVD.  It just hangs at a black screen.  IGR works fine when done in the same game off the HD.

Thanks,
b0ink

First, I'm moving this to Homebrew, where it really belongs....

and second, I've looked into the problem, and I'm not sure there's much I can do about it. I'm going to continue the investigation from my side, but I've brought the issue up with Team Xecutor, so hopefully, between the two of our groups, we can resolve it.

I also noticed something in MXM 0.9e that doesn't seem right.

If I don't provide titles for two games on a disc, the names taken from the binaries don't get adjusted to fit in the space provided.   For instance I had Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3 and Metal Dungeon on one disc.    Tony Hawk go cut off somewhere around the S or so in Skater.

However, when I typed the names in manually, the font was compressed to fit them in there.   Are you doing the font scaling calculation before you acquire the text from the binaries and therefore calculating it as if there are no characters?

Good question. I will have to take a look at that.

Thanks for pointing that out to me.

I've improved it a bit, as well, by including a list of about 150 games identified by their unique application ID, by the way.
