Pretty much as the title asks.
I just wonder because every time I plug/unplug from my PC and move the 360 to my soldering station I risk breaking my soldering on the flasher.
If I can just flash XBR and then install the JTAG, then I don't really have to worry about it.
You will REQUIRE the JTAG if you want to dump your nand via XELL and gentoo. (If you have a large nand and LPT for dumping NAND you might want to use that method) Using XELL and gentoo turns a 10 hour process into like 30 minutes total.
Even if you were not to do XELL and gentoo I would probably recommend having the JTAG hack in place, after you flash XBR to your NAND how can you test it without the JTAG hack in place? With the JTAG hack in place you can test then reflash if necessary.
