Title: Toshiba/samsung V22 Bios
Post by: sarge123 on November 04, 2006, 12:06:00 PM
A friend of mine has a sammy drive that he could not flash so he gave it to me to do for him the sticker on the drive said the fw25 although this was stuck over another sticker saying fw22.
when i attempted to dump firmware it just hung there like a 28 without the switch.
so i thought it may be a 28 and added the switch still to no avail.
not to be defeated i decided to remove the bios chip and read it with my programmer.
thinking the drive board was screwed i flashed the bios to a new board and tested it in the xbox it worked fine. so i used v4.2 bios and samread to flash a hacked bios on it however it failed to write again just  as it had when it was on the original board. i gave up and called it a day however i kept a copy of the bios and using maximus tool box noticed it reported as romver 22 has anyone else come accross this and would you like a copy of the bios to have a look at yourself

Most likely an OLD version that accidently left the factory without being reflashed...

probably a one off..
