It has been noticed that some boards have an "eeprom" chip located near the CPU and others do not. Some have removed the chip and placed it on another unit with no changes. The system with it removed also showed no changes and functioned completely.
Could everyone with a 360 and has it opened please post:
The manufactures date
Board Version
If you have a eeprom chip
If you have a premium or core
NTSC or PAL

Board Version: 011, or as most call it "Vurzion 1 point OH"
If you have a eeprom chip: Nope
If you have a premium or core: Core
NTSC or PAL: NTSC/US

well, if you can swap them and nothing happens, and some arent even present... then it may be part of the manufacturing process.. thinkin out loud
