Title: 1.6 Bios Work On My 1.4

has anyone encountered this?  maybe its old news, i have no idea.

so i have a 1.6 (dont know if its 1.6b or not, manufacture date is 2005-09-05) and there is no tsop.

my chip is flashed w/ evoxm8 1.6 (not sure if its plus, but i think so) and my 1.4 mobo will boot w/ this bios selected.  any input... <

DONT RUN IT, IT will work but it WILL damage your hardware if you use it a lot!

1.6 bios is for 1.6/b xbox's (B has hynx memory)

use X2 bios for anything else! <

NO you need to use the Evox M8 V1.6 or Evox M8 Plus V1.6 bios ... They are the same the only difference is the Plus version has the memory timmings added for the Hynix ram chips.

No it won't do any damage using the Plus version on a V1.6a

Or he's got an alladin chip the has both m8+ and m8 preflashed. <

no my chip was a duox2 w/ 4981 and m8_16...i just accidentally forgot to flip the switch back and noticed it booted not using the 4981 <
