Ok, just got a Jtag'd xbox360 today. In all honesty I haven't a clue to what I'm doing. I've been reading these forums for 2 days and am still clueless. Ok, enough of the sob story.
Got the homebrew 360 with a 20gb HDD preinstalled with Xexmenu. Fiddled around, couldnt get arcade games to work. Went and purchased a 1TB WD External HDD, called Mybook. Plugged it into the 360 and NXE wouldn't recognize it or XeXmenu. So, I formatted the entire thing to FAT32. XeXmenu recognizes it now, now here's where I'm totally lost. I got backup iso, I extracted the iso using ISOGOD, I hook the external HDD to my PC, then copy the weirdly numbered folder directly onto the root of the External HDD. There's absolutely nothing else on the HDD. Just this one folder, which is the game. Nothing happens, I don't even know how to run the thing. I got over to the 20gig to see if it will discover it and to no avail it's not there. I've been researching all day long on how to just play a freaking game from the External HDD. Please please please someone help me. I'm at my wits end. Thanks in advance. Oh yeah, if someone would like to IM me and maybe walk me through this and hold my hand that would be great as well =). I believe iso2god only works off the internal hdd.
what you do is extract the iso, put that into your external in a folder called games
so G:\games\gamename\
then you can boot up xexmenu and load the game off the external.

Thank you for the response. I've done that. Making folders to put the extracted ISO's in anyways. It's just a bunch of data files. I don't see a default.xex anywhere. Is that because I used ISO2God? Currently trying a different ISO extraction utility. Hopefully this solves my problems. Thanks for the tip. I'll post back.

Whelp, that fixed it. I can load the game from Xexmenu now. However, another problem occured. After loading the game, and then going back to dashboard to load Xexmenu, the screen turns black. I have to disconnect External HDD, and reboot in order to get into Xexmenu again. Is this a bug within Xexmenu?
