Hi all,
I won't go into too many details but I may have accidently applied the wrong bios to my 1.6 modded xbox. It may have been an older bios (basically some editing of the evox.ini file went horribly wrong) - if I have done this does that mean I've screwed it up completely. I've heard rumours that the 1.6 xbox has something built into the board to basically stop an xbox from working if an older bios gets thrown on to it.
I know someone who will try and reflash it for me so I guess I'll know in the next 24-48 hours if I've screwed it up for good. Just wouldn't mind some views here (so I can at least prepare myself for not so good news ;) )
Thanks,
Karamon.

Dont know much about the 1.6 seeing as i have 1.0
However if you have messed up the TSOP then cant you just install a Mod Chip and use a bios on that instead.
-
Actually I don't think I've stuffed the TSOP - just flashed the wrong bios on the modchip - I'm hoping it is just a case of using a re-programming bit of hardware to bios it back successfully?
-
What mod chip are you using?
-
I did manage to re-program it - my modchip is a cheap mod (Xenium clone) - it seems to be up and running again (phew!).
Thanks for your help....
