Title: Very Strange Flashing Problem
Post by: sven256 on September 03, 2009, 06:36:00 AM
Right i have a bit of a strange one here

I have flashed a few  xboxs to 1.51 no problem. But i'm attempting to flash new consoles and update them to 1.6, Yet they are not working. When updated the xbox is just saying place a 360 game into the drive even for originals.

I can re flash the drives back to 1.51 no problem and they work fine, but i have just got a new elite and it's a LiteOn iXtreme 83850c  so need to be 1.6 I'm having major problems getting it working.

The keys are fine

This does the same then for the standard lite on drive as well. it has the same problem in windows and dos.

Any ideas?

A bit more info would be usefull ie: Hardware/software that you used and a step by step breakdown of what you did.

First off are your backups proper? Direct rip from retail disk using a Kreon drive or 360 drive in 0800 mode?

Reason I am asking is that IX 1.6 has stronger requirements for the games to be fully stealth compliant in order to boot for Live safety.

Also are you making sure you are using the Liteon (repack) IX 1.6 firmware?

Yes all that was fine.

It must of  been something to do with drivers or something, as I have done a format and reinstall and it all seems to of worked fine

Thanks for the help.

It was just strange that 1.51 was working fine and 1.6 was giving errors (yes it was the repack).
