OK I just tried to dump a stock 83850C and I don't know if it went well or not. I had previously soldered the necessary points for the old liteons and tried to dump it as if it was an old model without luck. I then realized it was a 83850C so I removed the solder bridges and went about dumping it using DOS and lo83info.exe. This seemed to go well, as it did not report any errors. From there I ran the file through Freekey and it also did not report any errors and returned a non-null key, although I don't know whether the key was good or not. As a saftey measure I just tried to dump it again using Jungleflasher 1.65b. Again, things seemed normal as no errors were reported, however I did not see the "In Dedication to" portion. My guess is that the dump wasnt successful, but I can't think of why. I am using a 360 Xtractor to power the drive, and I have removed the solder bridges from the drive. Is it possible that I need to rebridge the solder points? Also, is it possible that when I tried to dump it the first time with the points bridged using dosflash and the 360 Xtractor reader that I messed the drive up? Here is the JF.log:

how about readin a manual?
check the key by usin freekey.there is a new version out now because the wrong-key-bug in version 1.0
so everything should be fine..no soldering needed etc...
Could you be more specific? Look at the log from JF1.65b. I used the "JungleFlasher 0.1.65b LiteOn '83850c' Guide" in the PDF on this forum. I took the bin file I got from there and ran it through Openkey 0.2 and it said the key is blank. Is it possible that when I tried to dump the key from it using the methods for old Liteons I ruined the key?
I initially soldered the R707 and R708 (I know only R707 is required, but I have always done both since the early Liteon days) and tried to dump the drive with dosflash. When that didn't work I tried to do it in Xtractor Reader 2.6 and that also failed. From there I checked the drive case and saw it was a 83850C. Upon this discovery I removed the solder bridges, and I used l083info in DOS to dump it, and then Jungleflasher 1.65b also. Both seemed to run without errors, but in neither did I see the "In Dedication To" message. However when I ran Freekey (not sure what version) on the bin from lo83info I got:
52 4B D5 3F F4 84 F8 65 DD 7B C8 0A 9E 5B 74 0D
UPDATE:
Ok, thanks to all for your help! I just tried the initial dump that I got from DOS with Openkey v2 and I saw the "In dedication to" message and it returned a valid key and saved the bin. Thanks for all of your help! Now I need to build the new FW and flash it. Another n00b question though, I have been seeing stuff about iX1.6 for 83850C and iX1.6 for 7 series Liteons. Is this a totally separate CFW?
Thanks as always!

Yes it is.
Yes that dump is WRONG!
