| Half-Life also runs about ~30fps under software mode. Any older PC game with specs that are around or under the xbox's will run decently |
How did you get Half Life to run?
And I know that either Quake 3 or Unreal Tournament had a software display mode (one did, the other *needed* a 3D card to run), have you ran either of
these on the XBox?
I'd love to play Half Life and so on on the XBox.

| diablo2 on battle.net runs fine through gentoox :) |
Cool.
I have evox already on my modded x-box, i have never installed gentoox before. Does it need it's own partition, can it coexist on the same partition as my evox (not running on evox, but using the same partition without any formatting or anything.) I already know I need a cromwell bios flashed to my modchip to use it, but I have not tried it because I am not too familar with linux. (every one starts off as a n00b right?)
I installed a Gentoox home v3.1, and installed Cedega from CVS. after doing this, I installed the CD version (NON-STEAM) of Half-life, and updated it with hl1110 patch. THen I just run it with wine /.transgaming/c_drive/program files/SIERRA/Half-Life/hl.exe
The hard part was configuring the controlls on the xpad. it works pretty well actually
someone in the linux forum is working on a accelerated video driver
Wow games run slow or they don't run at all, well thenewer games that is, you might be able to pop in an old game.
just play warcraft.. that game always rocks.
how do you run half life!!!!!!!!
through linux?
well thanks for the feedback on my question im going to install gentoox today and try and run a couple of old games on it :D
I hoped to get the game americasarmy running under Xbox. However looking at the specifications, I don't even try. Still the games you are able to play on the X is just fine + all those emulators running.
Finally got Killer Instinct running after years of waiting
Normally the Xenon will be more able to run propper pc games (theoreticly)
