Title: Liteon Drive In Bios But No Jungleflasher
Post by: rippedup on June 03, 2009, 07:13:00 AM
I connect my liteon drive up to my pc - a dell xps 420 - running vista 32bit . In the bios it detects the drive but when i open jungle flasher it says no drive detected, i have CK3 lite with the probe and connect to my pc with a serial to usb converter. Jungle flasher picks his p as it gets the write com port (7) and says the name under it. i have Port IO32 installed, and using the motherboard sata ports.

Any help would be a great help Thanks.

Have you installed the drivers for the ck3 and is the drive half open and i dont think vista works with the lite version of ck3 dosent report port correctly maybe better doing with FTS usb disk making sure either way that you get the key ect off drive first ..

This post on another site may help   http://www.360mods.net/index.php?name=Foru...pic&t=12342

I have tried using IPrep but because im using a serial to usb converter and have no serial ports it doesn't like it i think cause i got error straight away saying wrong com port.

I am selecting the right comport on jungleflasher because it says its ready but still says no drive found! underneath

T-X USB Drivers are for the USB to serial converter right? well i got PL-2303 driver down and this workd and is appearing on my computer as a comport.

I dont know what to do i have done so many times with drive out when starting up then plugging it in, plugged in on start up, turning off and on, tray out, in and half way nothing makes jungleflasher see it,

???

Certain drivers windows are probably conflicting, causing it to not show up... I had this problem, and went with a fresh install of windows.  Maybe if you can find a cheap smaller hard drive, and have the room, you could use this just for your flashing, and just set up a dual boot.

There are also some drivers you could remove to help compatibility I think.

VMRaid?

I have a separate computer just for flashing with a very basic windows setup.

Can pm me for more info
