I am so lost lol my computer has a sata port on the motherboard but its intel. I need a via or nvidia right? help lol

Your SATA should work. But you will need to buy some hardware to get the drive key before you can flash it. If you do not want to do any soldering you will need to get something like THIS.

You will also want to get the spear add on as well.

Does having the Connectivity kit mean you don't need to worry about getting a VIA chip?

Also, if you buy the connectivity kit, why do you need the spear? Is it to read the information from the drive (assuming you're not happy soldering)?

Finally, what's the difference between the light and pro connectivity kits?

Sorry for the noob questions, I've been looking around and can't seem to find any definite answers. Thanks for any replies.

So I don't need a via sata card on my computer? I can just use the sata port on my intel chipset? And If i do not want to solder, do i have to buy the connectivity kit and probe? thanks

you do not need a sata card if you use jungleflasher
you need to either buy a connectivity kit WITH probe or build your own (there are tutorials out there)

personnally I would just buy the kit and be done with it if I were you

Alright thanks a ton. I will buy the kit with probe. Probably a dumb question, but is there some kind of actual non online store that sells this? I doubt there is but I don't want to wait for shipping! lol

No, unless you can find it on CL or something you have to buy it online.  Shipping is not that bad, i got mine from DIY Gadget and it only took 5 days or so from Canada.

Most sites ship pretty fast. It sometimes take a few days to get through customs though.

get the sata card too VT6421, the intel sata is worthless.
