Title: Possible Solution For Flashing Hitachis
Post by: strawsy on March 20, 2009, 04:37:00 PM
I have a thread here somewhere about how I was having trouble flashing my hitachi 59. I have also been reading a lot of other threads about other people have trouble flashing hitachis. I successfully flashed my hitachi once....then the laser started messing up. I flashed the hitachi back to original...or so I thought. That didn't help the situation. So I ordered a new laser and installed it. I then tried to flash repeatedly...tried to restore and tried to flash to ixtreme 1.51. Nothing seem to work. After several hours of attempting to flash it I got the RROD. Here is my theory, I think somewhere in between flashing the xbox was actually in RROD mode but wasn't flashing the lights. So when attempting to flash it, it goes unresponsive and then the flash is unsuccessful. What I did, I did an x-clamp fix to fix the RROD, hooked it up and it played my burnt games just fine. So I think some of these hitachi xboxs are overheating but not getting the RROD and not letting people complete the flash. Just theory, although I KNOW that's what was happening to me.
