Title: Spoofed Hitachi

hi i replaced a lens on my hitachi and now the spindle wont turn or spin around at all, have cleaned the spindle  and tried replacing that to but no luck .  does anyone know how to fix this...

not sure i understand the problem because you did not give very much detail.

if replacing the part is not working, perhaps you may have damaged the pcb. the only way to tell would be to swap the pcb into another hitachi drive and see if the spindle will not turn in the replacement... i suppose another possibility is you reinserted the flat ribbon cable incorrectly or in the wrong positions, but i wonder if doing that would cause a short and then you would have to replace the pcb anyways.
