i use a blaster to flash my hitachi drive with a direct sata connection to my motherboard.
Why anybody would buy a blaster is beyond me. It takes 2-3 mins to open a 360 case. As for buying one, its not worth the crazy price they charge + you have to install it yourself. Either flash with 1.51 and be done with it, or wait for 1.6. Most likely there wont be a new iXtreme out for awhile, but who knows.

Has anyone tried Flashing with Blaster 360 or USB connectivity kit? Curious if there are any success stories out there. Haven't seen either really mentioned on forums yet.
well i did - worked with the iXtreme 1.4 release - but i bricked my drive with that jungle flasher (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) ...
