Title: How To Check For Proper Verbatim Dvd+r Dl Discs

I've purchased Verbatim DVD+R DL discs for my X360 backups (Hitachi GDR-3120L drive).  As of late I've been experiencing unplayable disc error messages.  The only solution is to eject/insert.  Only now has it become impossible to play backups as the unplayable disc message never goes away.  I've cleaned the drive and checked it out for issues.  None.

Three questions:

1. How do i check through software to see if i'm using the correct Verbatim discs (singapore)?  

2. How do i check this BEFORE actually purchasing them?

3. Despite my dvdrom playing all originals 100% and backups require eject/reinsert 4 to 10x could this be an issue with my DVDROM?  How do i know for sure?
