Title: Hitachi (open Tray)

So I have a Hitachi 47 and it plays my normal games and my old burned games that i had a couple months ago, but i have since burned two games and it says "open tray". Does anyone know why it will play my old burned games but not the new ones? Thanks.

Have you changed the media you are using? Have you checked these burns in another 360?

I am currently using the same media and they do work in other xbox 360's. I have tried them on two others and they work.

Might be a laser problem. Are the back-ups stealthed?

The open tray error usually happens when you have a bad media.  Or it could be a sign that your drive's laser is on its way out.  Try replacing the laser, and cleaning/lubing the drives rails.  You can also try to tweak the POT of the laser.
